Our sustainability practices include:
- Renting out dresses and tops which increases the lifespan of clothing items. Research suggests that extending the average life of clothes by just three months per item would lead to a 5–10% reduction in each of the carbon, water and waste footprints.
- Group rentals that reduce carbon emission. We deliver items in bulk (50 to 300 pieces at once). By doing so, we reduce our carbon footprint by roughly 85% compared to retailers that deliver to customers individually.
- Buying back clothes from customers for a more circular economy.
- No individual packaging for items. Twelve percent of the global waste composition is plastic waste, which includes plastic packaging. We are one of the first in the industry that practices no individual packaging, which reduces plastic waste.
As a new company, we currently do not have control over the manufacturing process. Our future plan is to control the manufacturing process and to ensure its sustainability.
